Reporting

As a charitable or voluntary run group it is usual that a report of the accounts is presented at each committee meeting. This may take the form of a profit/loss statement, an actual cash flow, against the forecast or some other statement of income and expenditure.

If your setting is a registered charity it may also be a requirement to provide a written return for the charity commission each year. See the Charity Commission's website for details of the reporting required - www.charity-commission.gov.uk.

As a private company you will need to report annually to HMRC. If you have shareholders you will also need to report to them regularly
